Chateau d’Yquem 1997
Very open nose fresh rich, mango and touches of passion fruit, aromas of thai basil and coconut (?) some menthol, quite complex but a light Yquem, palate balanced and long, soft ripe aprcots and peach with a saffron hint.
Very open nose fresh rich, mango and touches of passion fruit, aromas of thai basil and coconut (?) some menthol, quite complex but a light Yquem, palate balanced and long, soft ripe aprcots and peach with a saffron hint.
Nose open ripe round and complex, very tropical mango and pineapple seasoned with some botrytis spice, palate very balanced, rich ripe sweet with great balanced silky and long, amazing harmony.
Nose soft and ‘wooly’ creamy chenin like damp cloth, soft stone fruits mature peach and apricot, little stewed, creamy light character honey character, some nuts and brioche, not a typical botrytis rich Rieussec? Not too long
Nose very rich, open and saffron flavoured slightly volatile and very intense botrytis, lilly flowers, nuts honey and confit apricots, palate sweets rich rich and full, slightly imbalanced with rich intensity needs more acidity.
